HARRIS COUNTY, TX – In Precinct 3, teachers take the win! Commissioner Tom Ramsey is proud to partner with the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority on their Houston Loves Teachers initiative, part of the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers program, by donating $75,000 for teacher appreciation in Harris County Precinct 3!
“Teachers play a tremendous role in shaping our future through the bright minds of our children,” said Commissioner Ramsey. “They deserve to be honored and recognized for their passion. Teachers truly make a difference, and we appreciate them more than they know.”
The mission of the Houston 2024 Host Committee, Harris County-Houston Sports Authority, and Precinct 3 is to ensure that teachers in Harris County have a chance to be recognized and appreciated. With this goal in mind, the Sports Authority worked with school districts within Precinct 3 to identify top-performing teachers and school campuses who would be awarded with Commissioner Ramsey’s donation. The selected teachers and campuses will receive up to $5,000 for classroom supplies.
