Precinct 3 Kicks Off Soccer Season Announcing New Irrigation System

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Commissioner Tom Ramsey helped kick off the Baytown Saints Youth Soccer Club’s 2024 season this week while announcing a major irrigation project for the Baytown Soccer Complex.

It’s been 17 years since the complex’s pump station was installed, followed by years of pump operation failures. During the 2021 redistricting move, Precinct 3 park teams assessed the park's needs, which included replacing the pump station. They worked to set up a temporary system that included renting a pump station and repairing leaks along the zone valves to irrigate all eight of the soccer fields.

Precinct 3 will begin the installation of a new pump station this fall to keep the fields green and healthy for the 800 Baytown Saints Youth players this soccer season.

“A key role of county government is to take care of our parks and facilities for taxpayers to enjoy,” said Commissioner Ramsey. “By maintaining our parks and keeping them safe and in great shape, we hope to play a part in the growth and development of our families and future generations to come.”

The Baytown Soccer Complex is located at 9600 N Main Street in Baytown. For more information about all of Precinct 3’s 72 parks, please visit pct3.com.
